The ship does not become infinitely massive as it accelerates. The relevant engineering barrier is thrust, impact survival, and relational inertia management.
Dark matter is tired light
The fuel substrate is not WIMPs. It is ancient, massive, low-energy photon condensate that has become optically invisible but gravitationally active.
